Jason Witten has received plenty of criticism in his first year as a “Monday Night Football” announcer. That criticism is only getting louder.
The crew was talking about the trade that sent Amari Cooper to the Dallas Cowboys during Monday night’s game. Dallas gave up a first rounder for the struggling receiver, but Witten — the longtime Cowboy — felt that his old team won the trade.
ur not gonna believe this but jason witten believes the cowboys won the amari cooper trade

Twitter was all over Witten for this take.

You’re surprised the life long Cowboys player would say this wasn’t a win for the Cowboys? Lol https://t.co/hi7BbFKnJH

Jason Witten shows he clearly hasn’t had Amari Cooper in fantasy last couple of years.

Did Jason Witten just say Cole Beasley stretches the field?
I like Beasley as much as next guy, but his YPC for his career is 10 and his longest catch this year is 21 yards

Jason Witten and Booger McFarland both called Amari Cooper a "Number 1 receiver." What a terrible looks for ESPN.

Jason Witten also loved the Herschel Walker trade for the Vikings.

Clearly, Witten’s allegiance to the Cowboys hasn’t gone away with retirement.
