Every once in a while, magical moments in sports propel teams into the realm of legendary. Such a thing occurred Saturday in Evanston as Northwestern battled back from a 15-point deficit to beat DePaul by seven points, thanks to a 25-0 run.
Devin Gage hit a two-point jumper with just under 10 minutes remaining in the second half. That gave the Blue Demons a 57-42 lead. Over the course of nearly the next seven minutes of game time, the Wildcats outscored them 25-0 to take a 10-point lead.
Northwestern was able to hold onto the lead and walked out of the game with a stunning 75-68 win, improving to 7-3 on the season.
The crazy turn of events had social media buzzing, with a lot of the buzz being negative toward DePaul.
Though, not everyone was upset.
