The start to the 2018 NFL season will have to wait a little longer. Weather in the Philadelphia area is causing kickoff of the Atlanta Falcons vs. Philadelphia Eagles season opener to be delayed.
Football fans everywhere have been waiting months for this game. Naturally, they had a lot to say about the delay and made their feelings known on Twitter.
Well we wanted to rain on your parade, @Eagles, but this is ridiculous. π

Of course, that drew a natural reply.
What would you guys know about a parade? π€£

I definitely don't want anyone to get struck by lightning, but the delay in kick off feels like a big tease! No stringing me along, NFL π

We're in a weather delay and the press box is out of meatballs. One of these two things is a tragedy.

It is POURING. At the exact time the banner ceremony was supposed to be. This is the most Philly thing ever right? #Eagles pic.twitter.com/s5YdhaBHXO

This game delay just means the Eagles are Super Bowl Champs for even longer

The longer this weather delay, the longer the #Eagles are reigning Super Bowl Champions.
Iβm not exactly mad.
