Twitter reacts to Tim Tebow hitting shed on HR during BP

Tim Tebow can hit the ball a long way. His power is one of the biggest reasons why New York Mets general manager Sandy Alderson thinks the former NFL quarterback will play in the majors one day.

On Thursday morning, Tebow once again showed off that power during batting practice.

Anthony DiComo, a Mets beat writer for MLB.com, posted a tweet to let people know Tebow hit a shed beyond the right-center field wall on a huge home run, saying “His power is legitimate.”

That’s all well and good, and, let’s be honest, the average Joe and Janet couldn’t do that.

Just don’t tell that to Twitter.

A quick rebuttal here: Tebow is definitely better than “a AAAA guy,” based on the fact he did pretty well at St. Lucie (A+) last year after being called up from Columbia.

And while many were scoffing at the notion that Tebow hitting a storage shed was a big deal, it’s clear he still has his fans.

It’s going to be fascinating to see how Tebow progresses on his journey as a baseball player. He’s clearly having the time of his life, and he draws a crowd like none other. Stay tuned, folks, because Tebow Time isn’t close to becoming extinct.
