Twitter reacts to refs upholding Corey Clement’s controversial touchdown catch

It just wouldn’t be an NFL game if we didn’t get a controversial catch. Super Bowl LII gave us one of those, when Nick Foles and Corey Clement connected on a touchdown for the Philadelphia Eagles in the third quarter.

Upon further review, it appeared as though Clement might have been out, as he looked to be bobbling the ball on the way out.

Fans of the New England Patriots were dismayed when the ruling was ultimately upheld. That prompted a Sunday tradition, a round of catch or no catch debate.

And the narrative that the Pats get all of the calls?

Take that for what it’s worth.

The touchdown put Philadelphia up 29-19. The Patriots responded with a touchdown drive of their own to close the gap to 29-26 in the third quarter.
