During the fourth quarter Sunday as the Seattle Seahawks hosted the Washington Redskins, Kirk Cousins made what’s called a “business decision.”
Lined up in the pistol formation with Rob Kelley to his left, slightly behind him, Cousins received the snap. Except it was an awful snap — high and hard — that bounced off his outstretched hands. With the ball up in the air, Seattle’s fearsome defensive line rushed in and was ready to swallow up Cousins.
The veteran quarterback, signed to a franchise tag, offered up running back Rob Kelley instead.
“No, YOU take it! I’m not taking it.”
Twitter had a field day with this. Cousins wanted no part of that, and he gave up his teammate instead.
