Miami Dolphins quarterback Jay Cutler has had an average career. But he rarely ever plays average games. In Week 14, Cutler was stellar in Miami’s Monday night upset over the New England Patriots. In Week 15 against the Buffalo Bills, Cutler veered hard in the other direction.
Cutler entered the final drive at 28-for-49 with 274 yards passing, no touchdowns and two interceptions. But despite that, his team still had a chance to tie the game after Buffalo botched an onside kick recovery.
One play later, Cutler threw his third and final pick of the contest, ending the game.

Twitter was tough on Cutler’s performance.
GF: Babe, come over
Jay Cutler: I can’t I have to lead a game winning drive

One of the all time members of the NFL's all-tease team – Jay Cutler. One day looks like a franchise qb, the next looks like a guy who doesn't belong. https://t.co/AG3zsVJECu

wait. so the dolphins recovered an onside and depended on Jay Cutler to lead them to a comeback just so he could go Jay Cutler and throw a pick on the first play? i got that right?

Yes, precisely.
Much like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re going to get with Cutler. He’s the most reliably inconsistent quarterback the NFL has seen in a long time. Sunday was just another prime example of that.
