In what’s quickly becoming a trend for the program, the Purdue Boilermakers pulled off another upset special on Saturday. This week saw the Boilermakers take down the No. 16-ranked Iowa Hawkeyes.
Purdue trailed 36-35 with under five minutes left in the game at the 50-yard line. The Boilermakers worked down the field methodically on an 11-play drive, eating up chunks of yards and winding down the clock.
The clock-killing drive put the Boilermakers at Iowa’s seven-yard line with only eight seconds left on the clock. On came senior kicker Spencer Evans with a chance to be the latest hero for Purdue.

#Purdue beats 3 ranked teams in single season for first time since 2003. Crazy, especially after that 0-3 start.
