Patrick Mahomes is doing things at the NFL level that have never before been seen, wowing the masses practically every week with jaw-dropping highlights. In just his first year as a starter, he’s on the cusp of becoming the second player in NFL history to pass for over 5,000 yards and 50 touchdowns in a season.
He’s a transcendent talent.
On Saturday before Michigan and Florida started battling in the Peach Bowl, ESPN started comparing Shea Patterson to Mahomes.
Are we currently comparing Shea Patterson to Patrick Mahomes?
Is that what we are doing today?

Now, Shea Patterson is no scrub. He’s a good college football quarterback. Coming into the Peach Bowl, he had passed for 5,503 yards with 44 touchdowns and 17 interceptions. Decent at this level, and may one day become a solid pro.
But Patrick Mahomes he is not.
Not surprisingly, people lost their minds.

Comparing Shea Patterson to Patrick Mahomes is about as absurd as saying #TheGame was a mirage #GoBucks
