It’s happening. It’s really happening. Mark Sanchez is playing football in Philadelphia on Monday Night Football in 2018.

With Washington Redskins quarterback Colt McCoy exiting Monday’s game against the Eagles due to an injury in the second quarter, Sanchez had to replace him under center.

The former New York Jets first-round bust just recently signed with Washington after starting quarterback Alex Smith was lost to a season-ending injury last month.

Having played in Philadelphia with the Eagles in 2014 and 2015, Sanchez received a standing ovation from fans at Lincoln Financial Field.

In an hilarious turn, Adrian Peterson scored on a 90-yard touchdown on the quarterback’s first snap as a member of the Redskins.

Yes, this dramatic turn of events led to the football world losing its mind.
