Tundra, Gaimin Gladiators reach Bali Major upper bracket final

Tundra Esports and Gaimin Gladiators will square off in Saturday’s Bali Major 2023 upper bracket final.

Tundra swept Team Liquid and GG earned a 2-1 win against Quest Esports in Friday’s semifinals.

In the lower bracket, PSG.LGD eliminated Azure Ray and 9Pandas knocked out beastcoast, both by 2-1 scores.

Eighteen Dota 2 teams from around the world were invited to compete for a $500,000 prize pool. The winner will receive $200,000 and 600 Dota Pro Circuit points, and the runner-up will earn $100,000 and 550 DPC points.

The double-elimination playoffs are all best-of-three matches until Sunday’s best-of-five grand final.

In the upper bracket Friday, Tundra defeated Liquid in 53 minutes on green and in 46 minutes on red. GG wrapped 39- and 23-minute wins on green around Quest’s 29-minute victory on red.

In the lower bracket, Azure Ray opened with a 32-minute win on green before PSG.LGD answered with a 41-minute win on green and a 32-minute triumph on red. 9Pandas also pulled off the reverse sweep, following up beastcoast’s 60-minute win on green with 35- and 30-minute victories on red.

PSG.LGD will face Quest and 9Pandas will take on Liquid in the lower bracket quarterfinals.

Azure Ray and beastcoast finished in 7th-8th place, each taking home $12,500 and 300 DPC points.
