Miami Dolphins’ Tua Tagovailoa, Tyreek Hill makes huge donations to the family of ‘TuAnon’ founder

Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa (1) and wide receiver Tyreek Hill (10) take the field before the opening game of the season against the New England Patriots at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Sept. 11, 2022.

Before Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa emerged as an NFL MVP candidate last season, TuAnon was one of his strongest supporters online. Following the tragic passing of Eric Carmona, who helped create TuAnon, Tagovailoa and other Dolphins players are showing their support for his family.

Carmona, age 30, died in a motorcycle crash last Thursday, leaving behind a wife and their four children. A beloved Dolphins fan and a U.S. Navy veteran, Carmona’s tragic passing struck the entire community and left a family without a cherished loved one.

It led to an outpouring of support for Carmona’s family with messages of love, thanks and condolences offered on social media. Soon after, a GoFundMe was created to help provide Carmona’s wife and children with financial support.

The GoFundMe page to support TuAnon’s family now has more than $77,000 in donations, with Tagovailoa ($10,000) and Tyreek Hill ($7,000) providing the top donations. Andrew Van Ginkel’s family also donated $1,000.

“I want his wife and kids to know we’re praying for them and thinking of them.”

Dolphins’ CEO Tom Garkinfel also donated $1,000, meaning the organization alone is responsible for at least $20,000 going directly to the Carmona family.

Carmona’s legacy as TuAnon will live on and his love for the Dolphins will continue to be reflected by those supporting the team next season. While his identity was never revealed until after his death, it’s evident his impact reached further than anyone ever realized.
