Trouble in paradise? Tee Martin scrubs USC out of Twitter bio

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

On Monday, USC head football coach Clay Helton stripped offensive coordinator Tee Martin of his play-calling duties and took over that job himself.

After making that decision, Helton told reporters that he and Martin had talked, and that Martin “was supportive” of the decision.

One day later, we’re not so sure that’s entirely true.

Check out a before and after look at Martin’s Twitter profile. He completely scrubbed any mention of USC in his bio, and replaced a picture of himself wearing USC gear with a picture of him and his family.

Helton’s own job security is not great these days. It’s true that USC’s offense has, for the most part, been a miserable wreck this season. With that in mind it’s not hard to understand why Helton decided to make a change.

It just so happens, that change doesn’t seem to be one that his assistant agrees with in the least.
