Bucks Gaming, Cavs Legion GC and Pistons GT each won with ease on Wednesday to improve to 2-0 in group play at the NBA 2K League’s The Turn event.

The Pistons had the biggest win of the three, taking down Mavs Gaming 77-50. Anthony “ANT” Costanzo led a trio of Pistons with at least 20 points, scoring 28 and adding 12 assists. The Mavs’ Kenneth Grant “KennyZeus” Strombeck led his club with 21 points.

The NBA 2K League 5v5 season will include three tournaments — The Tipoff, The Turn and The Ticket — that will set the field for the playoffs, scheduled for Aug. 2-5 in Washington. 76ers GC defeated T-Wolves Gaming to claim The Tipoff last week.

Remote group play in The Turn will establish the bracket for remote bracket play. The event will conclude with in-person tournament play at District E in Washington in late July.

The Cavs took care of Heat Check Gaming, a winner on the opening day of play, carrying a 22-point lead into halftime en route to an 86-70 win. Antoine “ANTOINE” Featherstone led the way for the Cavs with 35 points and eight assists. Ky “Ky” Johnson did his part for the Heat, tallying 23 points and seven assists.

As for the Bucks, their two-man tandem of Michael “Cooks” Campbell and Mason “JohhnyRed” Bracken were too much for Lakers Gaming in a 79-62 win. Cooks had 27 points and JohhnyRed 26, with each adding seven assists. Iball “Ryan1of1” Harris scored 31 for the Lakers.

The day’s biggest blowout was pulled off by T-Wolves Gaming, who bounced back from Tuesday’s loss with an 84-56 drubbing of Jazz Gaming. Michael “BearDaBeast” Key scored 30 points and handed out 10 assists for the T-Wolves, while teammate Malik “Slaughter” Leisinger added 23 points and 10 rebounds. The Jazz did get a monster 24-point, 15-rebound showing from Spencer “Ria” Wyman.

76ers GC, who did not play on Tuesday, opened with a 70-59 win over Hornets Venom GT. Enrique “630” Xavier Barraza scored 26 points for the 76ers, while Antoine “antoinelove” Times scored 25 for the Hornets, fell to 1-1.
