It’s been nearly three years since Trevor Bauer first faced sexual assault allegations, leading to a full investigation resulting in a 194-game suspension after an appeal. After pitching 10 years in MLB, being named to an All-Star team, and winning a Cy Young award, Bauer suddenly found himself unable to find work.

His last MLB appearance came with the Los Angeles Dodgers on June 28, 2021. In January of 2023, Bauer was released from his contract. After MLB showed no interest, Bauer joined the Yokohama DeNA BayStars in Nippon Professional Baseball. Yet, back in November, Bauer once again became a free agent, and he hasn’t pitched for a professional team since.

Bauer, 32, recently opened up about what his experiences have taught him, in an interview with OutKick’s Tomi Lahren, where he discussed several changes he’s made.

“I’ve stopped having, like, casual sexual relationships. Stopped agreeing to engage in rough sex acts. I’m looking for more people that add value to my life instead of something that I’m doing for a couple of hours on a night and then kind of forget about. I have other things that I’m focused on. I’d like to go back to work. I have a job, I run a business. Maybe I go back to dating at some point in the future but not something I’m focused on right now.”

Bauer played one season with the Diamondbacks, seven with the Guardians, two with the Reds, and one with the Dodgers.
