WATCH: Trent Williams, K’Von Wallace ejected for fighting during Philadelphia Eagles-San Francisco 49ers matchup

Trent Williams

Anyone who’s ever witnessed an NFL game likely agrees, football is an intense sport featuring plenty of emotions. Late in the NFC Championship Game between the San Francisco 49ers and Philadelphia Eagles, tensions reached a fever pitch with a full-on brawl breaking out.

49ers All-Pro left tackle Trent Williams and Eagles safety K’Von Wallace were both key participants in this fight and both were ejected for their actions. As you can see in the clip down below, Williams (No. 71) can be seen grabbing Wallace (No. 42) and slamming him to the ground.

That’s when both benches began to clear, with some members of both teams entering the field of play at Lincoln Financial Field.

Even after tossing Wallace to the ground, Williams, who was surely frustrated by the team’s 24-point deficit, continued to push other Eagles players on the field. Both teams drew 15-yard penalties on the play, which offset each other. But Williams and Wallace’s days were done.

In the end, the Eagles get the last laugh, moving on to Super Bowl LVII, whereas the 49ers have to head back home to San Francisco and try and move on from a disappointing loss. Wallace’s actions shouldn’t have any impact on his status for the Super Bowl, but both players will likely receive a fine from the NFL.
