Cal State Fullerton leading scorer Latrell Wrightsell Jr. announced Sunday that he will continue his college career at Alabama.

Wrightsell averaged 16.3 points and 4.5 rebounds and racked up 45 steals in 30 games (29 starts) for the Titans this season. The 6-foot-3 guard knocked down 72 3-pointers while earning first-team All-Big West honors.

Wrightsell, a highly sought transfer, posted a picture on Twitter of himself in an Alabama uniform. He is standing next to coach Nate Oats and he wrote, “Roll Tide.”

Wrightsell reportedly canceled a trip to Arizona. Among the other national schools seeking his services were Arkansas, Baylor, Iowa State and Xavier.

Wrightsell is the second transfer to commit to the Crimson Tide in two days. Former Hofstra guard Aaron Estrada committed on Saturday. Estrada averaged 20.2 points in 31 games this season.

Overall, Alabama has landed three transfers. Former Wichita State forward Jaykwon Walton committed in March.

The Crimson Tide are reloading after a season in which they were a No. 1 seed for the NCAA Tournament. The season ended in major disappointment as eventual finalist San Diego State outplayed Alabama with a 71-64 victory in the Sweet 16.
