Trackhouse Racing set for big announcement within the next 2 weeks

Trackhouse Racing is preparing for a big announcement within the next two weeks. Find out what the team is planning for below!

Trackhouse Racing

Trackhouse Racing enters the 2023 NASCAR season with more to prove after coming up just short of the NASCAR Cup Series championship last year. Ross Chastain, the driver of the No. 1 car, finished behind Joey Logano.

Since that event, Trackhouse Racing has been serious in its pursuit of another Championship 4 appearance. In the meantime, there are other situations surrounding the organization that is intriguing.

Trackhouse Racing is interested in running the Indianapolis 500 in the future if it makes sense from a competitive standpoint. However, it is not the announcement that the team teased before the Daytona 500 last weekend.

Trackhouse Racing introduced PROJECT 91 last season with Kimi Raikkonen as the first driver of the No. 91 car at Watkins Glen International. With more races on tap for the 2023 season, the first race and driver for the entry could be coming soon.

According to team owner Justin Marks, the team anticipates an announcement on PROJECT 91 in the next two weeks. The next race for the No. 91 car will be on a road course; however, nothing was revealed beyond that.

There are a few names that would be elite options for the No. 91 car in the NASCAR Cup Series. In fact, we compiled a list of those who would be the top candidates to bring the most attention to the sport.

Trackhouse Racing did not bring the No. 91 car to the Daytona 500 despite being linked to Indianapolis 500 legend Helio Castroneves. This came after the organization took a hard look at whether to bring the entry to Daytona International Speedway.

However, Marks has previously said that exciting PROJECT 91 news is being finalized. The first road course of the season is at Circuit of the Americas, which also represents the place of Trackhouse Racing’s first victory.

There will be much speculation on who will pilot the entry next, such as Jenson Button, but whoever is chosen will be a massive addition to the Cup Series and help grow the sport even more.
