Trace McSorley exits game against Wisconsin with knee injury

Late in the second quarter of Saturday’s game between Wisconsin and Penn State, Nittany Lions quarterback Trace McSorley took a shot to the knees and stayed down on the turf.

Already wearing a heavy brace on his right knee, McSorley was grabbing at his knee and had to be attended to by medical staff for a time while on the ground. After a couple minutes, he was helped up and did manage to walk gingerly to the sideline, albeit with a limp.

Then he went to the stationary bike to try and loosen up his knee.

McSorley had completed 15-of-20 passes for 136 yards and a touchdown before exiting the game. He was replaced by junior Tommy Stevens as the Nittany Lions held a 16-7 lead over the Badgers in this Big Ten contest.
