Top NFL prospect Jerry Jeudy won’t skip Citrus Bowl to prepare for draft

Bucking a growing trend in recent years, Alabama receiver Jerry Jeudy won’t skip the Citrus Bowl to prepare for the 2020 NFL Draft.

Taking to Twitter on Friday night, Jeudy wrote, “I’m playing in the bowl game. There’s no reason to not play!!!”

That’s an admirable take. Though, we’re pretty sure Dallas Cowboys linebacker and former Notre Dame star Jaylon Smith would disagree with the sentiment.

Jeudy is arguably a top-five player at any position in the 2020 NFL Draft. He’s been a big-play machine for the Crimson Tide, and his ability to create space after the catch is rare.

Needless to say, if he can stay healthy during the Citrus Bowl, he has a chance to earn millions as one of the first players selected during next April’s draft.
