Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo is in quite the pickle moving forward. The team wants to trade him, but certain clubs that could afford him are not exactly his first choice.
Romo had recently indicated that the Denver Broncos would be his choice landing spot. But, the Broncos also do not wish to absorb his $24.7 million salary cap hit.
Therefore, it would appear that the 36 year old veteran may be willing to take a lesser deal in order to play for Denver or possibly another team of his choosing.
Werder believes Romo could sign an incentive laden deal in order to go to a team he wants. #Broncos #SB51 #FanSB51

This might just get to the ear of John Elway. The Broncos have bargain-basement deals with their current young quarterbacks. That is a great thing, but at the same time, neither quarterback has the experience Romo could offer Denver.
If Romo wants to be an active quarterback again, he is going to have to settle for less. It is a classic case of beggars cannot be choosers. Romo to the Broncos has an interesting appeal. If he can stay healthy, the team stands a legitimate chance at improving its status in the AFC next year.
This is surely not the last we will have to report on the Romo to Denver story. And, if nothing works out there, Romo would definitely draw interest from some other teams in need of an upgrade — a topic we recently explored.
