Tony Romo is the subject of a new movie coming out soon entitled “Now or Never,” which chronicles his rise from undrafted free agent to quarterback of America’s Team.

The movie is set to be screened at the El Paso Film Festival on Aug. 4, and then again at the Rhode Island Film Festival from Aug. 6-11, per DallasCowboys.com.

Hanna “puts the focus on Romo’s Hispanic upbringing with interviews his parents, grandparents and close friends, along with several sit-down sessions with Romo, himself,” per the team’s website.

Romo has already seen the documentary, having watched it a month ago during a special screening at his hometown of Burlington, Wisconsin.

“I think Chris (Hanna) did a great job with the film,” Romo said. “I know how hard he worked. And I’m proud of the way it turned out.”

Romo’s story is certainly compelling. He broke records at Eastern Illinois but went undrafted in 2003, finally earning his shot to start for good in 2006. Over the course of his career, Romo broke several Cowboys team records, including passing yards and passing touchdowns.

Now one of the preeminent color analysts on television, Romo has clearly come a long way, exceeding expectations every step of the way.
