NBA community reacts to Tony Parker retiring

Legendary NBA point guard Tony Parker announced his retirement on Monday in an interview with The Undefeated, calling it a career after 18 seasons.

Parker also shared the news via his Twitter account, sharing that “even in my wildest dreams, I never thought I would live all those unbelievable moments with the NBA and the French National Team.”

Best known for his time spent with the San Antonio Spurs, the point guard was one of the best the Association had to offer for well over a decade.

A four-time NBA champion who won the NBA Finals MVP in 2007, Parker was also named to six All-Star teams. He finishes his career having averaged 15.5 points, 5.6 assists and 2.7 rebounds per game.

As news of Tony Parker retiring made the rounds on social media, NBA analysts, players and the community as a whole responded.
