Tom Brady says goodbye to Danny Amendola with touching IG post

Danny Amendola

Mark J. Rebilas, USA Today: Guaranteed money may complicate things, but Amendola doesn't have the trust of the brass in NE.

After five seasons spent playing for the Patriots as one of quarterback Tom Brady’s top targets in 2017, wide receiver Danny Amendola’s time in New England has come to an end. Amendola is expected to sign with the Miami Dolphins for his next NFL adventure.

Brady posted this heartfelt goodbye message to Amendola, a good friend and teammate of his, on his Instagram account.

Brady led with this caption: “Teammate. Friend. Brother. Leader. Champion. #80 #DannyPlayoff”

Amendola was a handy tool for Brady on offense, tallying 230 receptions for 2,383 yards and 12 touchdowns during his tenure in New England.

Many thought Amendola would be re-signed by the Patriots. But, he must have liked the three-year offer that was extended by the Miami Dolphins.

Amendola walks away from the Patriots a two-time Super Bowl champion. We wish him luck as he suits up with his new AFC East rival team.
