Tom Brady, Patriots reportedly agree on contract extension

Apparently, New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft insinuated what Tom Brady wouldn’t say out loud last week about his contract.

Field Yates of ESPN reported Sunday that Brady and the Patriots “are close to finalizing an agreement on a contract extension,” noting it “should be done soon.”

Minutes later, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported the contract was agreed to by both parties.

Despite reports indicating the Patriots might have been balking at the notion of extending a soon-to-be 42-year-old quarterback, this is in no way surprising.

The bottom line is that the Patriots are only atop the NFL’s mountain because of Brady, and head coach Bill Belichick. As long as these two are working together, a Super Bowl is always within reach.
