Tom Brady goes over 1,000 career rushing yards

It took nearly two full decades and 265 NFL games. But New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has finally topped 1,000 career rushing yards. He went over the mark in Week 13 against the Minnesota Vikings.

He reached the milestone on a five-yard scramble.

One thing is worth noting.

While sacks do not count against a player’s rushing yards, plays like victory formation would. Case in point, Brady’s longtime peer and rival, Peyton Manning, had -61 rushing yards over the final three years of his career, finishing in the red each season.

So, if Brady wants to guarantee that he’ll finish above 1,000, he would do well to get some insurance yards. Especially if his New England Patriots keep putting him in victory formation at the end of games.
