It has been among the biggest stories around the United States over the past several days. The shooting death of 25-year-old Ahmaud Arbery in Georgia back in late February.

Arbery’s family claimed that the young man was simply jogging when he was targeted by a Caucasian father and son and shot dead on the street.

After an investigation the father-son suspects, Gregory and Travis McMichael, were ultimately charged with murder and aggravated assault. This came after a graphic video of the incident went viral.

It goes without saying that the death of an unarmed African-American man in the south has been a hot-button topic around the United States.

New Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady is now joining other athletes within The Players Coalition in penning a latter to Attorney General William Barr demanding a federal investigation into the incident.

Brady is joined by other NFL players such as Julian Edelman, Stephon Gilmore, Malcolm Jenkins and Cam Jordan in demanding the investigation. Three-time NBA champion head coach Steve Kerr of the Golden State Warriors was among those in the basketball world to sign the letter.
