Amid a steady stream of skepticism regarding his health and usage during the Los Angeles Rams’ postseason run, Todd Gurley declined to speak to the media one final time.

Omar Ruiz of NFL Network shared on Tuesday that a team spokesman says Gurly declined to meet with the media during the Rams’ final open locker room availability.

Clearly, he isn’t interested in rehashing the way he was utilized in the team’s final two games this postseason. Most have come to the conclusion that Gurley must have been dealing with an injury, despite his and the team’s protestations to the contrary.

The reason for this conclusion is quite simply that Gurley — a veritable workhorse among workhorses the past few years in the NFL — was almost invisible during the NFC Championship Game and Super Bowl LIII. In those two games, he touched the ball just 16 times for a grand total of 47 yards.

It would come as a shock to absolutely nobody if news breaks in the near future that Gurley needs surgery, or that he doesn’t but actually was dealing with an injury in the postseason.
