Titans’ DeMarco Murray out for Wildcard game against Chiefs

The Tennessee Titans have ruled out their No. 1 running back DeMarco Murray ahead of this Saturday’s Wild Card Playoff game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Murray will miss his second game in a row after spraining his knee in Week 16. This means the lead running back duties will once again fall on second-year back Derrick Henry.

Henry struggled immensely last week when the Titans beat the Jacksonville Jaguars. He recently commented on his past performance, calling it “soft.”

On Saturday, Henry will face a Chiefs defense that gave up 118.1 rushing yards on average per game during the regular season. This postseason game for the Titans marks their first since losing in the divisional playoffs in 2008.
