Tiger Woods is out of a Los Angeles hospital and continuing his recovery from a car crash at home, he tweeted Tuesday.

The golf star sustained major leg injuries in the single-car crash on Feb. 23 near the border of Rolling Hills Estates, Calif., and Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.

Woods underwent surgery to treat multiple injuries to his right lower leg and needed additional procedures days later after he was moved from one Los Angeles hospital to another.

He wrote Tuesday: “Happy to report that I am back home and continuing my recovery. I am so grateful for the outpouring of support and encouragement that I have received over the past few weeks.

“Thank you to the incredible surgeons, doctors, nurses and staff at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. You have all taken such great care of me and I cannot thank you enough.

“I will be recovering at home and working on getting stronger every day.”

While the post did not state Woods’ current location, multiple media outlets reported that he is at his South Florida home.

Woods, 45, shares the all-time PGA Tour record 82 wins with Sam Snead. He owns 15 major championships, second all time behind Jack Nicklaus’ record total of 18.
