Game 5 of the NBA Finals between the Miami Heat and Denver Nuggets is set for an 8:30 PM EST tip-off later tonight. With the Nuggets ahead 3-1 in the series, this matchup sets up a potential championship-clinching win for Denver. If so, it would be their first-ever NBA Finals win, dating back to 1967.
Making matters even more interesting, depending on where your loyalties lie, is that the Nuggets have a chance to walk away with the Larry O’Brien Trophy on their home court at Ball Arena on Monday night.
Naturally, the excitement surrounding the Denver area is at an all-time high, and we’re seeing reflections of that with the NBA Finals ticket prices for Game 5.
According to TickPick, the least-expensive ticket for Game 5 is currently $1,046. This is more money than if a Nuggets fan paid to attend all 41 regular season games at Ball Arena, which would come out to a minimum price of roughly $705.
To no surprise, Game 5 of the NBA Finals represents the most expensive single-game ticket in Denver Nuggets history. The average ticket price? Reportedly, $1,706.
So far the biggest purchase, according to TickPick, which does not include additional buyer fees, comes out to a total of $13,256 for a pair of seats in Section 148, Row AA, at $6,628 per seat. We’ll see if spending that hard-earned cash pays off with a Nuggets win for the home team later tonight.
