Thomas Davis is tougher than you and he’s tougher than me. He’s probably tougher than most NFL players, too. The Carolina Panthers linebacker played Super Bowl 50 with a broken arm, suffered just two weeks prior to the big game, and the picture he shared on Instagram after the game shows what kind of issues he was dealing with.

I’m not sure how doctors count stitches, but that’s a whole bunch of them right there holding Davis’ arm together.

Panthers head athletic trainer Ryan Vermillion thought there was no way the linebacker would be able to play after he broke the arm in the NFC Championship Game, and by the looks of it most would have been unable to gut out such an ordeal.

Unfortunately, Davis’ tremendous fortitude did not spur his team to victory. The Panthers were overwhelmed on Sunday and lost Super Bowl 50 by the score of 24-10.
