Texans place S Justin Reid on injury list after car accident

Second-year Houston Texans safety Justin Reid was minding his own business this past Saturday in preparation for training camp.

That’s when a drunk driver rear-ended him, causing minor injuries.

Reid took to social media Sunday afternoon to break the news, noting that he’s going to be just fine.

Unfortunately, the star young safety will not begin camp with the Texans. They announced on Wednesday that the former third-round pick will begin camp on the non-football injury list.

Reid, 22, started 12 games for Houston as a rookie, recording 80 tackles, 10 passes defended, three interceptions and a touchdown.

He’s not expected to be sidelined for too long.
