Texans’ Deshaun Watson provides legendary quote after beating Bills

Deshaun Watson put the Houston Texans on his back Saturday in their Wild Card game against the Buffalo Bills, and then he provided a legendary quote afterward.

Speaking with ESPN after the game, Watson said, “Somebody had to be great, why not me?”

How can you not absolutely love this guy as a leader? Watson is much more bite than bark, too, and he backed up his big talk in a big way.

He made the most significant plays in the biggest moments of the game for the Texans to spark Saturday’s victory.

It started when he willed himself into the end zone in the third quarter, dragging multiple defenders in with him. Then, in overtime, Watson’s magical escape from pressure led to the biggest play of the season for the Texans and set up the game-winning field goal.

All told, Watson racked up 247 yards and a touchdown on 20-of-25 passing while adding 55 yards and a score on the ground to help Houston advance into the Divisional Round.
