Terry Bradshaw ‘worried’ about Steelers, says Ben Roethlisberger is ‘a great leader’

Pittsburgh Steelers legend and NFL Hall of Famer Terry Bradshaw chimed in on the team’s recent drama, much of which has centered around Ben Roethlisberger.

Speaking with TMZ Sports, Bradshaw said that he’s “worried about our team” after the events of the past couple years.

The Le’Veon Bell contract situation, along with Antonio Brown’s public rift with Roethlisberger, certainly have put the team in a tough spot having to replace two top stars.

Additionally, both Bell and Brown have pointed the finger at Ben Roethlisberger as a reason why they wanted to move on.

During his chat with TMZ Sports, Terry Bradshaw came to Big Ben’s defense, saying, “I don’t understand it,” Bradshaw says … “He’s a great leader. He is. He’s solid.”

He also chimed in on the reported contract extension that has been talked about recently, saying, “he deserves it.”

Bradshaw’s comments and thoughts on Roethlisberger echo what we’ve heard from Pittsburgh’s brass, which has thrown its support behind the quarterback amid the criticism thrown his way. Additionally, young teammate JuJu Smith-Schuster recently made it clear he has no problem with Big Ben.

Regardless of where you find yourself on this topic, the one thing that’s crystal clear about the Steelers is that drama has been the team’s main commodity the past couple of years.
