Terrell Suggs arrested and detained for suspended license

Baltimore Ravens pass rusher Terrell Suggs was arrested Thursday night after he was involved in a single-car crash. When police were called to the scene, they found Suggs’ driver’s license to be suspended for speeding tickets, whereupon he was detained for a few hours for his infraction.

Here is a statement from Suggs’ camp, via Denise White of EAG Sports Management:

This is far from his first brush with the law, though it is one quite a minor issue compared to those of Suggs’ past. He was charged with aggravated assault in 2003, though the case couldn’t be proved, and had allegations of domestic abuse filed against him twice, in 2009 and 2012.

The star linebacker did sustain a minor cut but suffered no major injuries, TMZ learned upon speaking with one of his representatives. He is currently recovering from his second Achilles injury and hopes to be healthy enough to open the season on the field for the Ravens.
