3 best Tee Higgins free agent destinations for Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver

Tee Higgins: great catch

Just because Cincinnati Bengals signed quarterback Joe Burrow to a five-year $275 million contract, it doesn’t mean there isn’t money to re-sign wide receiver Tee Higgins. But it will make that tougher.

Reports from early in the 2023 season said the Bengals didn’t necessarily have Higgins in their long-term plans. That seems strange, especially since Higgins has 3,684 yards receiving and 24 touchdowns in his time with the Bengals.

He did have a rib injury and played in 12 games, but he’s always good when he plays, averaging 14.3 yards per catch.

The Bengals have since labeled him as their “top priority.” But let’s say the two sides don’t work out anything and Higgins hits the open market. Where could he go? Here are three possibilities.

Can you imagine Parick Mahomes throwing passes to Higgins? It would be a fantasy player’s dream! The Chiefs led the league in dropped passes and by the end of this season, Mahomes’ only go-to receiver was tight end Travis Kelce. The Chiefs have to get Mahomes some help.

Tennessee Titans

When the Titans made a terrible trade, sending wide receiver A.J. Brown to the Philadelphia Eagles before the 2022 season, they turned the franchise from a contender toward a rebuild. They used the draft pick they got for Brown on Treylon Burks, who has been a bust. DeAndre Hopkins has one year left on a two-year contract. So this team needs a No. 1 receiver for the long term.

The Chargers will have a new coach and a will certainly bring in a new offense. They have an extremely talented young quarterback in Justin Herbert and Higgins would maybe be a player to bring some attention to the second team in Los Angeles.
