Teddy Bridgewater reportedly traded to Saints

The New Orleans Saints have reportedly pulled off a trade with the New York Jets for quarterback Teddy Bridgewater.

This puts Bridgewater in an ideal situation where he could potentially be the successor to the great Drew Brees. At the very least, it puts him in a situation where he’s learning from a Hall of Famer, and where he’s being coached by one of the best offensive minds in the game today.

For the Jets, this further demonstrates that rookie Sam Darnold will likely start, with veteran Josh McCown as his backup.

Bridgewater has had a fantastic summer with the Jets, both in training camp and during the preseason. In three preseason games, he completed 73.37 percent of his passes for 316 yards with two touchdowns and one interception.
