If Taylor Swift attends this year’s Super Bowl matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers, it will be some impressive evidence of her love for superstar tight end Travis Kelce.

Over the last year, the Kansas City Chiefs have become as mainstream as the franchise has ever been. The assumption might be that their increased popularity is because they are the only dynasty team left in North American sports and they are one win away from a second straight Super Bowl title. However, that’s likely only a (small?) part of the reason.

The developing relationship between future Hall-of-Famer Travis Kelce and pop icon Taylor Swift has been one of the biggest stories in the NFL this season. She has attended many of the Chiefs games in 2023-24 and has shown up for all three of their victories in the 2024 NFL Playoffs.

But it is no guarantee she will be watching Kelce in person at Super Bowl 58.

On the same day as this year’s big game, a world away Taylor Swift will also be making her latest stop on her Eras Tour all the way in Tokyo, Japan. With her schedule having her on the other side of the planet for Super Sunday it would seem like she would be ruled out for the game in Las Vegas. Well, her being there is actually more possible than one might think, but it won’t be easy.

Las Vegas is 17 hours behind Tokyo, and the flight to get her back to the US for the game could be as long as 12 hours. If she left the arena immediately after the show ended and did not give her Japanese fans an unexpected encore, she would get to Las Vegas around dinner time which should be enough to freshen up and get to Allegiant Stadium.

What makes her efforts for her latest love interest all the more impressive is that she won’t be hanging around long to celebrate if the Kansas City Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers on Feb. 11. She has to fly back across the planet for a show in Australia. This means she will go back 17 hours to then go ahead 19 hours to continue her tour and see Kelce in this year’s Super Bowl. Wow.
