Despite taking and passing a polygraph test that showed he had no knowledge of taking a performance-enhancing drug, Taylor Lewan has been suspended the first four games of the 2019 season.
Lewan has adamantly defended himself since he broke the news of an impending suspension back in late July.
“I know what the policy is and I know people will have their split opinions on it, but I’ve never done anything knowingly that would cheat the game,” Lewan said.
The NFL, however, has shown no care in the past for intent and has a zero-tolerance policy that also recently hit another NFL star, Golden Tate, who had taken a fertility drug and also faces a four-game suspension to open the season.
