Despite the pun, Tan Ruyin scored a 40-yard wonder goal for China women against South Africa late Saturday night.
Tan picked up the ball inside the South African half, just outside the centre circle. She looked up and with an arcing shot lobbed the goalkeeper hitting the bar on the way over the line.
This second round win puts China second in their group on goal difference behind Brazil.
With the final game of the group, China versus Sweden, whoever wins will qualify for the knockout round, leaving this group on a cliffhanger finish.
