Tom Brady recently took a bunch of his new Tampa Bay Buccaneers teammates out for a throwing session. It was the first time they’d been able to work out since he has signed in free agency. Now we’re getting a picture of what that workout was like from the perspective of tight end Cameron Brate.
Brate on Tom Brady: ‘We are kind of teaching him the offense’
Brate appeared on SiriusXM NFL Radio Wednesday to discuss the throwing session with Brady. He shared that it’s “a little weird” that he and the others are teaching Brady the offense and verbiage. He also said that this dynamic will assuredly change at some point after Brady gets a full handle on his new offense.
During the interview, Brate also chimed in on what Rob Gronkowski has been like in their early relationship. He said what you see on television is what you get in real life with Gronk. He also said they will get along great in the tight end room.
It’s not hard to love what the Buccaneers have going for them this year. With Brady at the helm, the offense has a chance to be really special. And if Gronkowski can stay healthy, this team has a chance to go all the way to the top.
