Syracuse’s game Wednesday against Georgia Tech has been postponed due to the Yellow Jackets’ COVID-19 issues.
Instead, the Orange will host Cornell to make up a Dec. 21 game that was called off due to COVID.
“We appreciate the flexibility of the Cornell basketball program to be available to play this week,” Syracuse athletic director John Wildhack said in a news release Sunday. “As we continue to monitor the situation locally, regionally and nationally, we will work with ACC and public health experts to reschedule games as required to provide the best opportunity for our student-athletes to compete in a safe way.”
The Orange are 5-5 on the season, 1-0 in Atlantic Coast Conference play. Cornell is 8-2 and scheduled to open Ivy League play on Jan. 2 against Dartmouth.
