The Kansas City Chiefs got the championship treatment as they came out for Super Bowl LVIII’s Opening Night festivities Monday night at Allegiant Stadium — courtesy of the UFC.

Las Vegas is home to the UFC, the world’s top Mixed Martial Arts promotion, and announcer Bruce Buffer introduced the Chiefs in the exact same manner he would a UFC championship fight in the Octogan.

“This is the moment you’ve all been waiting for!” Buffer belted out. “Itttt’sss TIME!!!”

Then as the Chiefs were making their way into the stadium, Buffer continued as only he can.

“Hailing from the home of Chiefs Kingdom, Kansas City, Missouri. With a regular season record of 11 wins and 6 losses, led by coach Andy Reid, presenting the reigning, defending, undisputed Super Bowl champions — the Kansas City Chiefs!”

Interestingly enough, the majority of the crowd booed the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Kansas City Chiefs are scheduled to meet with the media for one hour, and then be followed by their Super Bowl LVIII, the San Francisco 49ers. It remains to be seen if they will receive the same Buffer treatment.
