Steven Wilson, who won four times on the eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series last year, earned his first victory of 2023 on Tuesday at a virtual Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Wilson drove the No. 10 Ford to a 0.035-second win over Kollin Keister in the No. 42 Chevrolet, taking the Atlanta race for the second year in a row.

Michael Guest came in third in the No. 45 Toyota, and Michael Cosey Jr. finished fourth in the No. 38 Ford. Graham Bowlin rounded out the top five in the No. 48 Toyota.

Wilson was one of four drivers in the hunt for the championship in last year’s season finale before he struggled to a 33rd-place finish in that race. He also failed to finish the first two races this year before winning on Tuesday.

Wilson, an Iowa City resident, said of his latest triumph, “This is definitely No. 1 on my list. … Definitely good to be back.”

He added, “To get into the playoffs, that’s what matters. Obviously want to (top) what I did last year. Want to get a little bit better. That’s what the goal is, and this win is definitely the beginning of that journey.”

Keister, of Frostburg, Md., came up just short of Wilson on the final lap.

“I’m happy to come home with a second-place finish, that’s for sure,” Keister said.

The series resumes March 28 at a virtual Richmond (Va.) Raceway.
