Steve Smith Sr. moves into 10th place on all-time receiving yards list

Steve Smith

Baltimore Ravens wideout Steve Smith Sr. is an age-defying freak of nature.

At the age of 37, Smith is the oldest active wide receiver in the league. That hasn’t stopped him from achieving the 10th-most career receiving yards, a feat he achieved during Sunday’s game against the Cleveland Browns.

Smith bypassed Hall of Famer James Lofton’s 14,004 passing yards Sunday.

This might not be the only milestone that Smith crosses this season. There is a tight huddle of other receivers that sit ahead of Smith in receiving yards.

If Smith keeps up with this level of production, he might just best legendary tight end Tony Gonzalez. Gonzalez is on record for the fifth-most career receiving yards with 15,127 on the books.

The 1,100-plus yards Smith would need to oust Gonzalez seems feasible considering Smith’s high level of performance. And, he has another 14 games to accomplish the task.
