The Buffalo Bills traded Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans after most of the NFL free agency dust had settled, and they didn’t receive any immediate compensation for their star receiver. With their trade return bringing back a 2025 second-round pick, it appears the Bills felt they had no choice but to remove Diggs from their roster despite the All-Pro being their best receiver by far.
While a few interesting tidbits have since been shared, such as Josh Allen reportedly ripping into Diggs after the Bills’ season-opening loss to the New York Jets, we may never know the real reason Buffalo felt the urgency to make the trade when they did.
However, as others have hinted at, it’s possible Diggs became a problem within the locker room. We already knew about the odd tweets Diggs has made over the years, and while they can’t all be directly related to his football career, his latest social media activity definitely is.
Recently, a user on the X social media platform posted a tweet reading, “Bills lowkey got the worse fanbase y’all bitter asf in the comments.”
Diggs, who hadn’t liked a post since April 4, decided to click like on the above tweet criticizing Bills fans. He sure didn’t have an issue with them when Bills fans were buying his jerseys or cheering him on at Highmark Stadium.
Luckily, Diggs won’t have to return to Buffalo to face the wrath of Bills Mafia this season, barring a matchup in the playoffs. However, the Bills will head to Houston to face Diggs and the Texans at some point during the 2024 regular season.
