Steelers, Patriots dominate AFC Pro Bowl vote

There’s a good chance that either the Pittsburgh Steelers or New England Patriots will be playing in the Super Bowl this upcoming February. If that were to come to fruition, players on said team wouldn’t participate in the annual Pro Bowl.

But based on how fans around the NFL have voted, the two top AFC teams are absolutely dominating in popularity.

The fan vote for this season’s Pro Bowl was just released, and all but one member of the starting AFC offense play for the Steelers and Patriots.

This is definitely not the way it’s ultimately going to play out. There’s other factors that go into deciding who starts and participates in the exhibition game. Even then, it tells us a story of two teams that fans recognize to be the best in the AFC.

Three Steelers offensive linemen are among those vote in. Meanwhile, the remaining starters include: Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski, Le’Veon Bell and Antonio Brown. Those four would definitely be hard to argue with.

Coincidentally enough, Pittsburgh and New England take on one another this weekend. If the Steelers come out on top, they’ll clinch the top seed in the AFC over the defending Super Bowl champs. Needless to say, there will be a ton of stars on display at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh Sunday afternoon.
