Pittsburgh Steelers center Maurkice Pouncey became a hero in the eyes of many when he punched and kicked Myles Garrett after the Cleveland Browns star assaulted Mason Rudolph with his own helmet on Thursday night.
As a byproduct of Pouncey coming to the defense of his quarterback, he’s been suspended three games and fined by the NFL, though he will appeal.
Pouncey knew he’d get suspended for his actions, and he simply did not care.
In this scribe’s opinion, Pouncey will see his suspension reduced. However, it’s likely he will still miss the Steelers’ next game against Cleveland, which takes place in two weeks.
Garrett was suspended indefinitely by the NFL Friday morning.
