We’ve seen how incredibly fast Archer was at combine with his 4.26 40-yard dash. Now, this past weekend we got another dose of Archer in action as he blasted through the Giants’ defense on a 46-yard gain.

Yes, Archer has arrived and he had this to say to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette (via NFL.com).
I showed that I can play in the NFL.
Archer was a third-round selection in the 2014 NFL Draft and makes a handy weapon for Roethlisberger to utilize in various spots on the field. The quarterback had this to say to NFL Media’s Kimberly Jones about Archer in Saturday’s loss to the Giants.
You get real excited. You take a little pass like that and turn it into a big gain, I just told him, It would have been nice if you would have scored.
It will be fun to watch and see how the team actually plans to use Archer once the regular season starts. With Le’Veon Bell and LeGarrette Blount there to handle the bulk of the carries, the Steelers will have to find a way to get the ball into their capable rookie’s hands also.
